Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley has today announced plans to host a Jobs Fair in Carluke Lifestyles Centre.
The event will take place on Friday the 27th of May, between 10am and 2pm, with employers, representatives from both colleges and universities, skills agencies and advice organisations.
The event is targeted at the unemployed, those looking to upskill and those looking for a change in career.
There will be over 25 stallholders present.
Commenting on the event, Angela said:
“I am delighted to be in a position to hold a jobs fair in Carluke.
“Too many people find themselves unemployed or underemployed through no fault of their own.
“My jobs fair will bring professionals from across most sectors, supermarkets and agencies to Carluke. It will be a fantastic opportunity for people to meet employers and apply for vacant posts.
“We already have over 20 confirmed attendees, including the NHS, Scottish Water and the BBC.
“It’s shaping up to be an exciting day and I hope hundreds of my constituents come along.
